Rent Assistance in Southwest Kansas
The Ford County Housing Authority offers rental assistance through the HUD Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program to help low- to very low-income households across our 28-county service area in Southwest Kansas. (Note: This program does not cover households within the city limits of Dodge City or Great Bend.)

Families must meet income and eligibility requirements to receive assistance. A “family” can be a single person, and you do not have to be elderly to qualify. HUD vouchers are issued when you reach your turn on the waiting list, allowing you to rent an existing house, duplex, apartment, single room, or mobile home from a private owner. We are not able to take anyone with drug related or violent criminal offenses.
